Job summary

AD Finance Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing UK group to recruit a Management Accountant who wants real ownership, variety and progression. The role offers lead responsibility for month-end across several trading entities and the chance to shape reporting, controls and process improvements.

You will own journals, balance sheet reconciliations and provide commercial challenge to operational teams, supporting budgeting and forecasting in a growing SME environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified or finalist in ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong management accounting and month-end experience.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-site structures.
• Solid understanding of revenue recognition and WIP.
• Detail-driven, analytical, and able to communicate with stakeholders.
• Experience in a growing SME or mid-market environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management accounts for several trading entities.
• Produce reporting packs with variance analysis.
• Prepare journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany).
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Ensure consistent revenue recognition and accurate WIP reporting.
• Assist with statutory accounts, VAT and audit queries.
• Support integration of newly acquired businesses.
• Partner with managers to provide insight and commercial challenge.
• Contribute to systems and process improvements.
