Job summary

Consula Group LTD in Manchester is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join the finance team at an exciting scale-up phase. You will produce accurate monthly management accounts, provide financial insight to the senior leadership, and help improve controls and processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will be qualified or part-qualified ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA ), with strong Excel, experience with Xero or Sage, and the ability to translate numbers into actionable business decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
• Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role, ideally within a fast-paced or growing business.
• Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of management accounts preparation and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or similar is advantageous.
• Commercially astute, with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful business insight.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills - confident engaging with non-finance stakeholders and presenting financial information clearly.
• London-based or able to commute to London regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, to agreed deadlines.
• Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary, explaining key movements against budget and forecast.
• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working closely with budget holders across the business.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with the year‑end audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing supporting schedules as required.
• Produce ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions and strategic planning.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders, translating financial data into clear, actionable insight.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and drive efficiencies across the finance function.

What We Are Looking For
