Reporting to: Finance Director

A privately owned, fast ‑ moving business is looking for a hands ‑ on, energetic ManagementAccountant who wants to step into a role where their work genuinely shapes thedirection of the company. This is not a back ‑ officereporting job — it’s a position for someone who thrives on ownership, pace, andbeing close to the numbers that drive real decisions.

Working directly with the Finance Director and the SeniorLeadership Team, you’ll play a central role in producing high ‑ quality management accounts,driving monthly forecasting, and supporting the business with insight thatinfluences performance, growth, and strategy.

The Role

You will be the heartbeat of the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring the business has accurate, timely, and commercially meaningfulfinancial information. You’ll work across operations, commercial, andleadership teams to bring clarity, challenge, and forward ‑ looking analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timelymonthly management accounts, commentary, and KPI reporting
  • Lead the monthly forecastingprocess and support budgeting cycles
  • Partner with the FinanceDirector to provide insight, analysis, and decision support
  • Work closely withoperational and commercial teams to understand performance drivers
  • Support cashflowforecasting, working capital analysis, and scenario modelling
  • Maintain strong financialcontrols and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Assist with year ‑ end processes, auditpreparation, and statutory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and financial visibility
  • Provide ad ‑ hoc analysis to the SeniorLeadership Team to support strategic initiatives
Requirements

Experience & Background

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Strong experience in management accounting, ideallywithin an SME or fast ‑ pacedenvironment
  • Confident producing management accounts, forecasts, andinsightful analysis
  • Comfortable working hands ‑ on with data, systems, and operational teams
  • Strong Excel and financial systems capability
  • A proactive mindset — someone who spots issues early anddrives solutions
