• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month-end processes.
• Good understanding of journals, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
• Ability to review work and mentor a junior colleague.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Management Accountant - Part Qualified

Location: London – hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office

Contract: Initial 3 months, with the potential to move into a permanent position

An established housing organisation is looking to recruit a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone actively studying towards an accountancy qualification who has hands-on management accounting experience and enjoys working in a varied, operational role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate management accounts and financial reports.
• Complete journals, reconciliations and month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and strong financial controls.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Review and approve purchase ledger invoices.
• Oversee and support a junior accounts payable colleague, ensuring transactions and journals are processed accurately.
• Work with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial reporting and processes.

About You

• Part-qualified accountant actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month-end processes.
• Good understanding of journals, reconciliations and financial controls.

The Opportunity

• Initial 3-month contract on a day rate with the potential to become permanent.
