Management Accountant
Department: Operations
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: London, UK
Reporting To: Jon Ramsell
Compensation: GBP 50,350 - GBP 58,300 / year
Description
We're on the lookout for a spreadsheet-slaying, process-tweaking, future-forecasting Management Accountant to join our small (but mighty) finance team. Reporting to our Financial Controller, Jon, you'll be the analytical powerhouse helping us stay on top of our numbers as we scale. Whether it's automating our month-end process, wrangling VAT returns or building a slick forecasting model, you'll be doing a bit of everything-and loving it.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a generalist environment, has worked in a scale-up or similar high-autonomy setup, and gets a weird thrill from reconciling accounts. You should be just as happy chatting to the Sales team about invoices as you are building clever Google Sheets dashboards.
What You'll Be Working On
- Supporting the delivery of accurate and timely management reporting, including monthly packs and consolidated reporting
- Speeding up and sharpening our month-end close and reporting packs
- Helping us automate the boring stuff-we're all for working smarter, not longer
- Owning day-to-day finance ops like Xero reconciliations, expenses, VAT, accounts payable and receivable
- Being a go-to for ad-hoc analysis, budget planning, and stakeholder questions
- Forecasting like a pro-help us predict where the month's landing (and ideally before it's over)
What You'll Bring To The Team- You're a fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) accountant (or nearly there and sprinting to the finish)
- You've worked in a small finance team or scale-up and know what "wearing lots of hats" really means
- You know your way around forecasting, month-end, VAT, and all the other fun stuff
- You're a spreadsheet genius (Google Sheets preferred) and you've spent a lot of your time in Xero
- You love solving problems, improving processes, and making finance look easy
Bonus points if:
- You've wrangled SaaS metrics before (ARR, churn, CAC, etc.)
- You've dabbled in BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
- You've built automation into finance workflows-especially around reporting or month-end
