Robert Half are looking for an Accountant with extensive Management Accounting and business partnering experience to join a high-profile Real estate and Property Services firm as a Management Accountant. This position offers a salary of £55-60k and is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to the London and Birmingham offices (Birmingham twice a month, London 4 times a month). You will work with two of the company's largest clients, gaining client exposure, preparing monthly management accounts, and working on ad hoc projects.

The Role

1. Prepare accurate reports for the Portfolio, including full Profit & Loss accounts with analysis and commentary, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and detailed Project Profitability reporting, in line with strict monthly deadlines.
2. Review, maintain, and improve billing, debt management, work in progress, purchase orders, and ledger postings against plans, forecasts, prior year, and trends.
3. Identify and resolve financial weaknesses within the Portfolio promptly.
4. Compile rolling three-monthly Profit & Loss forecasts and annual expectations based on current management information.
5. Assist the Finance Manager in preparing the annual Business Segment plan alongside operational and contract management teams.
6. Create cost-benefit reports and conduct analytical reviews to enhance Portfolio performance.
7. Understand the financial and commercial details of contracts within the Portfolio to ensure optimal performance and risk management.

Your Profile

1. Extensive Management Accounting and Business Partnering experience, with the ability to prepare Management Accounts independently.
2. Recent qualification (ACCA/CIMA) is required.
3. Applicants nearing full qualification are encouraged to apply, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, business partnering skills, and the ability to prepare management accounts monthly.
