Job summary

Appoint Consulting Recruitment Specialists is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a hybrid role with home-working options two days per week. You will deliver timely financial reporting, assist budgeting and forecasting, and provide commercial insight to support strategic decisions.

The role requires ACA/ACCA or equivalent, and experience with NetSuite is advantageous. You will manage month-end processes, payroll input, audits, and financial reporting across retail/product

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience using NetSuite is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience within retail or product-based environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work with management, procurement and directors regarding budgets and forecasting.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage petty cash, expense claims, and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Support payroll processing and review payroll-related entries when required.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts and cost centre P&L.
• Support budget preparation, monitor variances and highlight issues to management.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Respond to finance queries.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the business, delivering timely financial reporting, supporting budgeting and financial planning, providing valuable commercial insight, and ensuring finance processes run smoothly and efficiently.
