Job summary

Appoint Consulting Recruitment Specialists is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a growing family-owned business in the UK. The role focuses on timely financial reporting, budgeting support, and commercial insight, with the option to work from home two days per week.

You will manage month-end and year-end close, perform variance analysis, assist audits, and support payroll processing, using NetSuite where possible.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• NetSuite experience is preferred in a finance environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Retail or product-based experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work with management, procurement and directors regarding budgets and forecasting.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage petty cash, expense claims, and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Support payroll processing and review payroll-related entries when required.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts and cost centre P&L.
• Support budget preparation, monitor variances and highlight issues to management.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Respond to finance queries.
