This is an opportunity to join a purpose‑driven organisation where high‑quality financial information genuinely influences outcomes and makes a visible impact.

As Management Accountant, you will sit at the heart of the finance function, providing robust analysis, insightful reporting and strong business partnering across the organisation. Reporting to the senior finance lead and working closely with the Financial Accountant, you will help strengthen financial performance, improve processes and support long‑term financial sustainability. For this role you will ideally have experience working in housing or a similar environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-term financial plans.
  • Producing accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.
  • Analysing financial performance, trends and variances, translating complex data into clear, actionable strategic insight for senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring spend against forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Supporting managers with financial planning, accountability and informed decision‑making.
  • Delivering costing, project and service analysis to inform operational and strategic choices.
  • Contributing to business cases, investment appraisals and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance and reporting standards.
  • Collaborating across finance and the wider organisation to continuously improve systems and processes.
  • Providing cover and support within the finance team when required.
What you'll need to succeed:
  • CIMA qualified, part‑qualified, or actively working towards a recognised accounting qualification.
  • Strong management accounting experience preferrable within housing, public sector or similar environment.
  • Proven ability to produce and oversee accurate, timely management accounts.
  • Experience shaping or supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
