Job summary

Resourcery Group is recruiting a Rent & Service Charge Accountant to lead rent and service charge accounting, working closely with Finance, Housing and Operations. You will ensure robust controls, accurate reporting and regulatory compliance while supporting annual rent reviews and budgeting.

We value an ambitious finance professional who can build relationships, solve problems and improve processes. Housing/charg accounting experience is advantageous, with Cost Accounting as a key focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in management or financial accounting.
• Strong reconciliation skills and stakeholder communication.
• Cost accounting knowledge and ability to develop specialist knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own rent and service charge accounting and reporting.

Resourcery Group is delighted to be partnering once again with one of the North West's most respected and values-driven organisations to recruit a Rent & Service Charge Accountant.

Having successfully supported this client with several appointments, we know first-hand what makes this an outstanding place to build your career. You'll be joining a collaborative, supportive finance team where your expertise will genuinely influence business decisions, improve processes and add real value across the wider organisation.

This is far more than a transactional accounting role. You'll take ownership of rent and service charge accounting, working closely with colleagues across Finance, Housing and Operational teams to ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting and regulatory compliance. You'll also play a key role in annual rent reviews, service charge budgeting, reconciliations, financial analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We're looking for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and improving processes. You'll ideally be professionally qualified (or working towards qualification) with experience in management or financial accounting, strong reconciliation skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.

Previous experience within housing or rent and service charge accounting would be advantageous, but we are also keen to hear from candidates with strong technical accounting skills and in particular Cost Accounting and the ability to quickly develop specialist knowledge.
