Job summary

Diageo Moray House in Elgin is seeking a Process Engineer to shape malt distilling performance across 30 distilleries and 4 maltings. You will lead improvement initiatives, use data-driven insights, and collaborate with operations, engineering, procurement and risk teams to deliver safer, more efficient processes.

You will drive structured problem-solving, coach stakeholders, and champion continuous improvement and sustainability across our production network.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and delivering projects in operational or multi-functional teams.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and partnership-building skills.
• Experience using statistical analysis tools to drive data-led decisions.
• Proven ability to coach and influence others to improve quality, efficiency and performance.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma experience or qualification.
• Full clean driving licence with at least one year's driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety, operational, energy, and environmental improvements across Malt Distilling.
• Lead and support continuous improvement and transformational projects.
• Use data and technical expertise to find opportunities and solve complex challenges.
• Champion structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to improve performance.
• Coach and develop stakeholders, building technical capability and a growth mindset.
• Encourage ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams.
• Identify and lead multi-functional problem-solving activities for systemic issues.
• Benchmark internally and externally to uncover new ideas and technical insights.
• Build strong partnerships across Operations, Engineering, Technical, Procurement, and Risk & Governance.
• Role model high standards and a relentless focus on performance excellence.
• Play a key role in leading and contributing to process risk assessments, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations across our production processes.
