Job summary

Diageo in Blythswood is seeking a proactive Operator to lead a self-managed team and ensure safe, efficient daily operations within our maturation processes. You will work within a strong safety culture, adhere to safe systems of work, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes maintaining product integrity, supporting manufacturing systems, and developing staff through coaching and training. A can-do attitude and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• A strong emphasis on Health and Safety requirements.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment is advantageous.
• Experience in Whisky Warehousing is advantageous.
• Manual handling experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
• Full UK driving licence may be required for some roles.
• Good numerical skills and understanding of MANEX principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental, and company requirements.
• Lead a self-managed team and drive daily operations to meet production targets.
• Develop daily/weekly plans with the site team to support business targets.
• Identify risks to delivery and communicate them to the management team.
• Maintain product integrity in line with quality assurance procedures.
• Support Manufacturing Management Systems delivery on site.
