Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Male Wake Night Support Worker for Kings Heath (B13). This 35-hour per week role offers a pay range of £13.45–£14.05 per hour.

The post requires experience with learning disabilities or autism and is restricted to male candidates over 18 years old due to occupational requirements. As part of Chesterwood, you will monitor residents overnight, assist with night-time routines, respond to incidents, and help maintain a safe, calm environment while performing light domestic

  • Record incidents and changes in residents' condition with accurate documentation.
  • Work independently throughout the night with vigilance.

Please note we require a Male Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About Chesterwood

At Chesterwood, we provide support for up to five individuals who live with , Mental health, Acquired Brain Injuries, Learning disabilities/ Autism and ADHD Our aim is to enhance independence and improve the quality of life post-injury in a friendly, encouraging, and nurturing environment.

As a Wake Night Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the individuals during the night to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Providing support when needed, including assisting with night-time care routines.
  • Responding to emergencies or incidents that may arise during the night.
  • Maintaining a calm and secure environment, helping to create a peaceful atmosphere for the individuals.
  • Assisting with light domestic tasks as required, such as tidying and cleaning communal areas.
  • Recording incidents or changes in the individuals' condition and ensuring accurate documentation is kept.
  • Working independently throughout the night, maintaining vigilance and attention to detail.

This role requires a calm, reliable, and responsible individual who can work effectively overnight to provide high-quality care and support.
