Job summary

Equation is seeking a Safe Accommodation Support and Outreach Worker to assist male survivors across Nottinghamshire. The role is hybrid in Nottinghamshire and runs as interim maternity cover until November 2027, supporting individuals who are homeless or at risk and coordinating with housing and multi-agency partners.

You will conduct risk assessments, advocate for safe housing, build partnerships with services, and raise awareness about male survivors’ housing needs through training and events.

Qualifications

• Experience of front-line work with people facing crisis, abuse or housing difficulties.
• Understanding of barriers faced by male survivors.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills; able to work with multiple agencies.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mileage paid).

Responsibilities

• Complete risk assessments and safety plans; support survivors through the criminal justice system.
• Advocate for survivors and help access safe accommodation via Local Authority Housing Solutions and partner agencies.
• Build partnerships with housing, homelessness and domestic abuse services across the county.
• Engage communities to raise understanding of domestic abuse and housing needs of survivors.
• Raise awareness of support for men through events, resources and training.
