Job summary

The YOU Trust is recruiting a part-time Support Worker to join the Learning Disabilities Service in Blackfield, New Forest. You will support clients with learning disabilities in daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning and community outings, in a Supported Living setting.

You may assist with personal care as required, with thorough training provided to build confidence. Flexibility is essential to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting people with a variety of needs.
• Good communication skills: verbal, non-verbal, and written.
• Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Experience with learning disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, person-centred support to help clients live independently in a Supported Living setting.
• Assist with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning and community outings.
• Support personal care when required, including toileting.
• Be flexible, patient, caring and kind with clients and colleagues.
