Job summary

Keys Group at Howells Road, Dunvant, Swansea, is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a small team and uphold high standards of care for adults with learning disabilities and autism in a residential setting.

You will follow care plans, report accurately, liaise with health professionals and families, and participate in inductions and ongoing qualifications. This role offers a supportive environment with paid enhanced DBS, generous annual leave, and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Male candidate over 18 due to occupational requirement.
• Experience in residential care for adults with learning disabilities and autism preferred.

About Howells Road - Howells Road is a detached bungalow in Dunvant, Swansea, providing residential care for two adults with learning disabilities and autism.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Managing a team of Support Workers
• Providing high standards of care and support for people we support, in line with care and support plans
• Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
• Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and working to care plans
• Liaise with health professionals and their families
• Complete supervisions and audits
• To ensure that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home.
