Job summary

Victim Support in Southampton Central is seeking a dedicated Caseworker to join the Domestic Abuse team. The role is fully office-based with regular travel across Hampshire.

You will assess, plan, and deliver tailored safety and support plans for victims of crime, providing information and advocacy through the criminal justice process. You will manage a caseload, conduct risk and needs assessments, and work with partner organisations to ensure ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills with ability to use bespoke case management systems and MS Office to a high standard.
• Excellent organisational and time management to handle competing needs.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external organisations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of self-referred and referred service users, providing information and advocacy to help navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk and needs assessments to tailor support and information for victims.
• Identify barriers to accessing services and work with partners to provide ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records on the bespoke case management system.
• Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse and provide immediate assistance.
• Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those who accept ongoing support.
• Liaise with local providers to share information on Victim Support's service offering.
• Collaborate with colleagues and volunteers to provide a seamless service to clients.
