Job summary

Victim Support is seeking a dedicated Caseworker for our Domestic Abuse team based at our Southampton office. The role is fully office-based with regular travel across Hampshire. Expect shifts within Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, with extended hours until 8pm on Wednesdays and one late shift every three Wednesdays.

You will provide structured support plans, assess risk, and liaise with local partners to deliver a seamless Victim Support service. Driving is essential due to travel needs.

Qualifications

• You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims and experience in delivering services.
• Experience in managing a caseload and completing risk and needs assessments would be beneficial.
• Proficiency with IT and Microsoft Office; ability to use case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of self-referred and referred service users, providing information and advocacy.
• Conduct risk and needs assessments to tailor support for victims.
• Identify barriers to accessing services and work with partners for ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records on a bespoke case management system.
• Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse and deliver immediate assistance.
• Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those accepting ongoing support.
• Liaise with local providers to share information on Victim Support services.
• Work as part of a team with staff and volunteers to provide seamless service.
