Job summary

Victim Support in Portsmouth is seeking a dedicated Caseworker to provide tailored support plans for individuals affected by crime. You will initiate contact with victims, explain services, and assess impact, delivering resources and information throughout the case.

You will manage a caseload, perform risk and needs assessments, and liaise with local providers to ensure seamless, ongoing support. Driving licence and willingness to travel across Hampshire are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Proficient IT skills and ability to use case management systems.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with external organisations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of self-referred and referred service users, providing information and advocacy.
• Conduct risk and needs assessments to tailor support.
• Develop and monitor safety and support plans for crime victims.
• Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records on the bespoke system.
• Collaborate with local providers to coordinate services.
