Job summary

Lampton Services is seeking a Major Works supervisor to deliver high quality, customer-focused services for the London Borough of Hounslow. You will supervise a team of skilled trade operatives, ensuring work is completed on time and to required standards, with strong site supervision and regular safety checks.

Applicants should have at least 2 years’ supervisory experience, a full driving licence and excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills to support tenants and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ 2-3 equivalent relevant experience.
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Working knowledge of health & safety legislation and risk assessment procedures.
• Desirable: previous experience in a Social Housing Repairs environment.
• Good numeracy, literacy, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a customer-facing role delivering an outstanding experience.

Responsibilities

• Effectively supervise a team of skilled trade operatives with guidance as needed.
• Ensure work activity is completed on time and to high standards.
• Regular site visits to ensure quality and contractor compliance.
• Conduct one-to-one meetings to discuss performance and wellbeing.
• Address performance, conduct or absence in line with policy.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and customer excellence.
• Allocate and schedule labour across business areas as needed.
• Maintain vehicle and tool safety, conduct regular checks and paperwork updates.
