Job summary

Graham Rose in West London is seeking a Planned Works Supervisor to oversee major housing works, coordinating internal and external teams to ensure safety, quality and timely completion.

You will lead inspections, allocate tasks, and liaise with tenants and contractors to ensure smooth handovers while seeking process improvements to reduce costs and turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising planned/major works in social housing or property maintenance.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Good knowledge of building maintenance and relevant trades.
• Understanding of health and safety, building regulations and compliance.
• Strong organisation and communication skills, IT literacy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Position: Supervisor - Planned Works

Location: West London

Contract: Temp to perm

Salary: £49500 + company van, fuel card and excellent benefits

We are currently looking for a Planned Works Supervisor to join our client, a housing association based in West London.

Role Overview:

To manage and coordinate major works across the housing stock, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time and to specification

Duties include:

• Conduct inspections to ensure that all health and safety, compliance, and quality standards are met.
• Allocate jobs to in-house teams or external contractors, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
• Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations, including asbestos awareness and risk assessments.
• Liaise with tenants, housing officers, lettings teams, and contractors to coordinate smooth handovers and effective communication.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times without compromising quality.

You Will Need:

• Experience in supervising or managing planned/major works projects or repairs work in a social housing or property maintenance environment.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Good knowledge of building maintenance and relevant trades.
• Understanding of health and safety, building regulations, and compliance standards.
• Strong organisation, communication, and IT skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
