Join us as a Major Loss Adjuster to take on key responsibilities within a world-class claims function. Our claims handlers deal with highly sophisticated insureds globally, including large multinational fronting programmes where AIG leads and makes decisions on high-value, complex claims across various jurisdictions. The role is client-facing and involves coverage, legal liability, and quantum analysis, with significant interaction with brokers, insureds, external providers, and internal stakeholders.

Our claims team is an industry leader, offering opportunities for adjusters to develop and grow their experience across Energy and Construction products.

How you'll make an impact

This role handles 'Major Loss' energy claims with the highest complexity and monetary exposure. Responsibilities include coverage determinations, loss investigation, independent assessment of the company's exposure, developing and implementing cost-effective resolutions, quantum analysis, and communication with stakeholders. It may also involve cross-border claims handling, requiring awareness of legal and regulatory systems outside the home jurisdiction.

What you'll need to succeed:

Technical Skills and Expertise:

• Market-leading specialist knowledge in Major Loss Energy claims
• Expertise in policy language interpretation
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and litigation procedures
• Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and ADR
• Experience in claims audits and catastrophe management
• Ability to manage claims outside local jurisdiction, understanding local laws and regulations, and coordinate with claims teams in different locations

Leadership Skills

• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to deliver technical training to claims teams
• Influence claims stakeholders to direct strategy effectively
• Experience managing senior stakeholders internally and externally
