Job summary

DWF is recruiting a Solicitor or Associate to join our Major Injury and Casualty team in Birmingham. You will handle a range of defendant EL, PL, Casualty, Disease and Large Loss claims with supervision from Partners.

You should have 2+ PQE in defendant litigation and experience in EL/PL; abuse or industrial disease experience is advantageous. The role is hybrid with Birmingham office attendance two days per week.

Qualifications

• 2+ PQE in defendant litigation (Employer Liability, Public Liability, Casualty, Large Loss).
• Experience in abuse or industrial disease advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Major Injury and Casualty claims.
• Draft pleadings, reports to clients, attend court hearings, and meet court deadlines.
• Instruct experts, gather evidence, and liaise with Partners and clients.
• Support junior team members and help develop business networks.
