Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH in London is seeking an AI Native Major Account Executive to drive new-logo acquisition and large cloud transformations across UK&I sectors. You will own the full sales journey from opening doors to closing deals, partnering with teams to deliver compelling GTM strategies and value-based selling in AI and cloud infrastructure.

This role requires a track record in Net New Cloud Sales in the B2B Enterprise space, deep technical and commercial know-how of cloud

Drive new-logo acquisition and major cloud transformations across UK&I's fastest-growing sectors, i.e. Startups, Digital Natives, SaaS and Fintechs. Owning the full sales journey, from opening doors to winning complex, high-value deals, partnering across teams to deliver compelling GTM strategies. Bring value-based selling expertise, commercial ambition and a passion for emerging technology to a high-performance growth environment.

As a Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

• Executing a global outbound prospecting strategy to generate high-quality pipeline and drive new logo acquisition across targeted verticals and regions.
• Operating with urgency, intensity, and ownershipdedicating the majority of weekly focus to outbound initiatives that accelerate top-of-funnel growth.
• Designing, executing, and refining multichannel outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, cold calling) with personalized messaging and data-driven optimization to improve conversion rates.
• Owning the complete end-to-end sales cycle, from initial engagement through deal closure, ensuring alignment with customer goals and Akamai's go-to-market strategy.
• Developing a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, AI computing, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborating closely with peers and leadership to ensure consistent execution and measurable results.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have relevant sales experience in Net New Cloud Sales (infrastructure or Software) in the B2B Enterprise market
• Have deep technical and commercial expertise of power capacity, advanced cooling solutions, and the complex financial modeling for large scale deployments.
• Have a proven track record of navigating and closing massive infrastructure and data center deals at the highest enterprise levels.
• Have demonstrated success building and maintaining strategic partner relationships
• Have proven success and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Expectations of being present in the London Office, engaged to lead by example, foster collaboration, and strengthen partnerships at the HQ to accelerate strategic alignment and execution whilst working across multiple time zones and adapting to early mornings or late nights to ensure global alignment, execution, and results.
