Job summary

Select Engineering Limited in Redditch is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to respond to equipment breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance and support weekend project activities. The role involves electrical and mechanical installation, 5S housekeeping, and safety compliance across the production area.

The candidate should hold an engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree) with IOSH Managing Safely and LOTO competence, and have PLC/robot experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ABB).

Qualifications

• Respond to production equipment breakdowns and support PM tasks.
• Maintain 5S standards and safe working practices.
• Experience with PLCs and robotics is preferred.
• Electrical and mechanical installation experience.
• Knowledge of LOTO and health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production breakdowns and resolve issues
• Complete PM tasks, stock, audits, investigations, fault reports
• Maintain 5S end of shift cleanliness and safe shutdowns
• Identify breakdown trends and support RCA on repeat failures
• Support weekend work list and ad-hoc projects for improvements
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure a safe environment in the workshop
• Assist engineering with installations and system management when required
