A regional healthcare organization in England is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician/Team Leader to supervise electrical maintenance, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate will have a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and experience in large organizations. Responsibilities include supporting electrical services and managing a skilled team. The purpose of the Electrical Technician is to assist/supervise a variety of engineering and environmental duties including maintenance, installation, testing, and repair and commissioning of electrical services and equipment. This would include plant and equipment in accordance with relevant legislative standards and operational procedures to ensure the integrity of engineering services and infrastructure of the hospital and to provide a safe environment for patients, public and staff.
The role forms a key part of the operational delivery of front-line maintenance services, defect & breakdown response and pre-planned maintenance tasks (PPM). The role will act as the lead electrical technician/team leader for a team of electrical craftspersons.
The role will involve supporting new and alteration works within the post holder\'s competency, skills, and experience both during and to ensure we provide around the clock services in some cases this will involve working out of normal working hours.
The post holder will be responsible for the calibration and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment i.e. where relevant (L.V. electrical systems, complex circuits, switchgear, generators,) undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and capital work across the Trust as directed by management, ensuring compliance with statutory, mandatory and healthcare best practice Health Technical Memorandums (HTM\'s). The post holder will be required to adopt and develop a multi-skilling culture across all the maintenance team.
