Job summary

Talbot House Children’s Charity is seeking an additional Maintenance Technician to join our team. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will work within a small team to maintain internal and external premises to a high standard, performing planned and reactive tasks while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Our school serves 70 pupils with EHCPs and complex needs. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and repairs preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a small team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Ensure premises comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a safe, well‑maintained environment for staff, pupils and visitors.
• Assist with larger projects as required.
