Job summary

Western Primary School is seeking a Site Operative to help create a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff and visitors. The role is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6:00am-11:00am, year-round including Training Days, on-site at the school in Harrogate.

You will perform hands-on maintenance and repairs across buildings, facilities and grounds, using your joinery, plumbing and decorating skills to keep the environment safe and well cared for.

Qualifications

• Good joinery, plumbing and decorating skills are essential requirements for the role.
• Ability to identify issues and take appropriate action within your training and competence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair tasks across the school to keep buildings, facilities and grounds safe and well maintained.
• Support safeguarding and health and safety by reporting concerns promptly and following school policies.
• Work independently when needed, while collaborating with staff as part of the school community.
