Job summary

Witherslack Group Ltd in Shelf, Yorkshire, is seeking a part-time Maintenance Worker to join our school team. You’ll perform general repairs, drive school vehicles and help maintain grounds while engaging with our pupils and keeping a safe, welcoming environment.

This role is 15-18 hours per week with a pro-rata salary of £10,052–£12,062 (FTE £24,796) plus excellent benefits, and training on safeguarding to support your confidence in working with young people.

Qualifications

• Have some maintenance skills, either professionally or as a DIY enthusiast
• Have a 'can-do' attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others
• Be confident taking responsibility for buying smaller pieces of maintenance equipment
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training

Responsibilities

• Carry out general, day-to-day repairs to keep the school running smoothly
• Drive the school vehicles and keep them in good working order
• Keep the school grounds and garden neat and tidy
