Focus Foundation is seeking a reliable Maintenance Worker to support upkeep across Whitefield and Prestwich, with initial ad-hoc hours and potential for regular contracted work.

You will perform general repairs, support property maintenance, and work with the Housing Manager and contractors to keep homes safe, clean and well-presented for residents. This role requires respectful, considerate conduct in occupied properties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as handyman, maintenance worker or similar practical role.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travelling between properties.
• Own basic tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Good practical knowledge of common household and property maintenance.
• Ability to identify maintenance issues and know when specialist help is required.

Responsabilités

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance across supported living properties.
• Undertake minor tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating and repairs.
• Prepare properties for new tenants with making-good works.
• Identify, report and escalate complex repairs, health and safety concerns.
• Collaborate with Housing Manager and external contractors and provide updates.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, materials and actions; ensure safety compliance.
• Respect occupants and maintain privacy and dignity in occupied homes.
