Job summary

DENSO Marston Ltd, based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician with an electrical or mechanical bias to join our night shift team. You will diagnose faults, repair production machinery and drive reliability across legacy and automated equipment.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, safety, and continuous improvement. Prior PLC fault-finding and CMMS experience are advantageous in this global manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent (ONC/City & Guilds Level 3).
  • At least two years' maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • PLC fault-finding experience.
  • Experience with production machinery and root cause analysis.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, fault-find and repair production machinery.
  • Respond quickly and safely to equipment breakdowns.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Record maintenance activity using the CMMS system.
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician who enjoys fault-finding rather than simply replacing parts? Do you take pride in getting to the root cause of machinery failures? DENSO Marston Ltd, based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, is part of the global DENSO Corporation, one of the world's leading automotive technology manufacturers. We design and manufacture high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for leading OEMs across the off-highway, construction and agricultural sectors. We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with either an Electrical or Mechanical bias to join our night shift maintenance team. This role focuses on diagnosing faults, maintaining production machinery and improving equipment reliability across a diverse range of manufacturing equipment, from well-established legacy machines through to newer automated systems.

Working Hours & Benefits

Night Shift Monday Thursday: 10:00pm 6:00am Friday: 4:00pm 9:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Essential Experience & Qualifications
  • Time served engineering apprenticeship Minimum ONC, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent At
  • least two years' maintenance experience within manufacturing
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
  • PLC fault-finding experience
  • Experience working with production machinery
  • Experience of root cause analysis and reliability improvements
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Required Skills
