Job summary

Hunter Selection are working with an established manufacturing business in Ebbw Vale to appoint a Maintenance Technician. You will be involved in planned maintenance, rectifying breakdowns and contributing to improvement and installation projects.

The role offers a four-day week, excellent training and long-term development opportunities under the Engineering manager, with a clear path to grow your career.

Qualifications

• Time served apprentice.
• Minimum ONC or equivalent qualification.
• Multi-skilled with electrical qualification and mechanical experience.
• Instrumentation systems including thermocouples, level and loop control.
• Inverter drive control knowledge.
• Fault finding and diagnostics skills.
• Hydraulic/pneumatic control systems knowledge.
• Lathe operation and MIG welding with workshop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to production operations on all issues.
• Carry out shift-to-shift activities by prioritising production needs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Engage as a member of the multi-skilled Engineering team, working with the team to continuously improve the maintenance function.
• Diagnosis and resolution of equipment breakdown issues.
• Involvement in projects, plant improvement and equipment manufacture.
• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance activities.
• Provide site support for the building and facility maintenance and security

This role will see you involved in engineering processes such as planned maintenance, rectifying breakdowns and involvement in improvement and installation projects. • Fault finding & diagnostics skills
• Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic control systems
• Competent in the use of a lathe, MIG welder and other workshop equipment
