Job summary

The Recruitment Source for Clockwork Organisation in Wrexham is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a forward-thinking recycling facility. The role focuses on maintaining heavy industrial machinery, with training provided to cover electrical aspects.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on cranes, furnaces, hydraulics, and filtration plants, using SAP Fiori and CMMS, and work in 2 days/2 nights shifts with a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Time served/apprentice with cert
• Mechanical fault-finding with pneumatics/hydraulics/electrical motion control (training provided)
• Experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
• Good English communication (written & spoken)
• Good numeracy and IT skills

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical planned maintenance without supervision
• Carry out reactive/corrective actions to restore equipment
• Source parts and liaise with suppliers
• Observe machines to identify issues
• Support TPM via root-cause analysis and preventive tasks
• Ensure machinery operates through preventive and reactive maintenance
• Use digital tools including CMMS and HMI for fault finding and alarms
• Use SAP Fiori to manage job requests and record findings

Maintenance Technician

£50,368 per annum

Permanent opportunity in Wrexham.

Working hours are shifts (2 days 2 nights 6.30-6.30)

The role:

A forward-thinking recycling facility are looking for an additional Maintenance Technican with mechanical bias to join their well-established team in Wrexham. Training on the electrical side will be provided. This role involves working on heavy industrial machinery such as overhead cranes, furnaces, hydraulics, industrial saws as well as filtration plants.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

• Conduct electrical and mechanical planned maintenance tasks without supervision.
• Complete reactive/corrective actions returning equipment to expected standard output, quality and waste levels following fault diagnosis.
• Sourcing parts and material details from suppliers and arranging parts through technical administration.
• Conduct continuous machine observation and measurement, identifying & rectifying potential issues.
• Use manuals, failure history and involvement with root cause analysis as part of a multi-functional team to develop preventative tasks/improvement projects in line with TPM objectives.
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by undertaking preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
• Regular use of digital equipment, including Microsoft Office and CMMS. Including HMI visual interpretation for fault finding & alarm notifications
• Use SAP Fiori to manage job requests, record breakdown and/or PM findings including technical completion submission.

The Candidate:

The successfully appointed Maintenance Technician will have the following skills and abilities:

• Be a time served / apprentice trained Technician, with an ONC / HNC / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
• Mechanical fault-finding skills, with p ractical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical / electronic motion control systems (training provided).
• Experience of working within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good basic numeracy and IT skills.
