Job summary

Gpw Recruitment is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing client in North Wales. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform preventative maintenance, and support improvements to increase equipment reliability.

The role requires experience with automated production equipment, industrial maintenance background, and flexibility for day and night shifts. You will work with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Background in industrial maintenance engineering.
• Ability to diagnose electrical faults in manufacturing equipment.
• Good mechanical engineering and repair skills.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance programmes.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment and machinery.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns to minimise production disruption.
• Maintain and repair equipment including motors, drives, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings and pneumatic systems.
• Support improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Work with production teams to identify recurring faults and implement practical solutions.
• Assist with machinery upgrades and site improvement projects.
• Provide technical support to production colleagues.
• Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment and machinery.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Respond efficiently to machinery breakdowns, ensuring production disruption is kept to a minimum.
• Maintain and repair equipment including motors, drives, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings and pneumatic systems.
• Support engineering improvements to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with production teams to identify recurring faults and implement practical solutions.

Skills and Experience
