Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturing business in Wrexham, operating a busy 24/7 site. You will join a close-knit engineering team responsible for maintaining automated production and processing equipment to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.

This role combines electrical fault-finding with mechanical maintenance across conveyors and heavy plant machinery.

Qualifications

  • Electrically biased maintenance background.
  • Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 16th Edition Wiring Regulations or above.
  • Manufacturing, FMCG or heavy industrial maintenance experience.
  • PLC fault-finding experience.
  • Comfortable working at height and in a physically demanding environment.

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Reactive breakdown maintenance.
  • Electrical fault finding.
  • PLC fault finding.
  • Conveyors and production machinery maintenance.

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Wrexham

Salary: £48,(Apply online only)

Shift: 3 on 3 off - Days Only (with on-call on Day 1 & Day 2 evenings)

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating a busy 24/7 production facility in Wrexham. Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of automated production and processing equipment, helping to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining electrical fault finding with mechanical maintenance across conveyors and heavy plant machinery. While there is a strong reactive element, you'll also carry out planned maintenance, support equipment inspections and get involved in the commissioning of new production lines and ongoing site improvements.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

  • Electrically biased maintenance background.
  • Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 16th Edition Wiring Regulations or above.
  • Manufacturing, FMCG or heavy industrial maintenance experience.
  • PLC fault-finding experience.
  • Comfortable working at height and within a physically demanding environment.

  • Experience working within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Experience commissioning new machinery or production lines.
  • Experience maintaining heavy plant or process equipment.

The Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:

  • Salary up to £48,(Apply online only).
  • 3 on 3 off days-only shift pattern.
  • On-call payments at a minimum flat rate of 4.5 hours per call-out.
  • 17th / 18th Edition training available where required.
