Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electrical/Mechanical) for a 3-shift pattern (earlies, lates, nights) to maintain and repair production and engineering machinery. You will join a skilled team reporting to the Maintenance Manager and perform fault finding, fabrication and some minor electrical work.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and troubleshoot control panels.

Responsibilities

• Minimise production downtime by troubleshooting breakdowns and preventing recurrences.
• Work with electrical and mechanical drawings; fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
• Carry out preventative/planned maintenance using a Maintenance Management System.

• Minimise production downtime by trouble shooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences.
• Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
• Use a Maintenance Management System carry out preventative/ planned maintenance work.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to all EHS Company policies.
• Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities.
• Perform electrical and mechanical work, including fabrication, welding and some minor electrical installation work as required.

MaintenanceTechnician(Mech or Elec)

The Company:

Are you an experienced MaintenanceEngineerorMaintenance Technician with either Electrical or Mechanical or Multiskilled skill? In this 3 shift role (combining earlies, lates and nights) you will be responsible for the dailymaintenanceandrepair(preventative and emergency) of a wide range ofproduction and engineering machinery. You will work as part of a well established team ofMaintenance Techniciansand report into a Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent.
• Demonstrated multiskilled proficiency in industrial electrical AND/ORmechanical systems, including pneumatic/hydraulic systems,fabrication,and welding.
• Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams as well as troubleshooting control panels.
• Ability to pass medical which includes assessments for working at height and in confined spaces.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications.
• Resilient,resourceful approach,with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Proactive work ethic,strong initiative,and the ability to operate independently within a shift team environment.

Pay and Hours:

• Working across a 3 shift pattern - 3 shifts (earlies, lates and nights), attracting a salary of £42000 (with paid overtime available at £26-27phr)
