Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Merthyr Tydfil facility. The role offers a £45,000 starting salary and encompasses electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-volume production lines.

You will perform fault-finding on PLC-controlled equipment, assist with servicing plant facilities, and support installation of new machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Time served in a multi-skilled apprenticeship (Electrical/Mechanical).
• Experience in FMCG or other manufacturing environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Electrical and Mechanical trouble-shooting on the production lines.
• Electro-mechanical repairs to PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, also pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
• Technical support for the plant facilities and services, including compressed air, refrigeration and steam.
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, breakdowns.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
