Job summary

TechMet Ltd. in the Coleraine area is seeking 24/7 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians to join an expanding team and support high-speed processing, handling and packaging equipment.

You will perform reactive and planned maintenance across plant facilities, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC systems, on a shift pattern that includes days and nights (7-7), with 7 shifts per fortnight and a base salary around £54,000 plus overtime.

Qualifications

• Time-served maintenance engineer with relevant electrical/mechanical qualification (ideally HNC/D).
• Over 3 years' experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a high-speed production environment.
• PPM experience and work in highly automated plant.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance of plant facilities and high-speed processing, handling and packaging equipment including compressed air, steam, refrigeration systems and effluent plant.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, pneumatics, welding, hydraulics, and PLCs.
• Be flexible and a good team player in a fast-moving reactive maintenance environment.

Job description

Our client is an excellent employer in the Coleraine area, offering a state-of-the-art working environment.

They are looking to build maintenance capacity and are therefore looking for 24/7 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians to join their existing team

The Role:

• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance of a wide range of plant facilities and high speed processing, handling and packaging equipment, including compressed air, steam, refrigeration systems and effluent plant.
• 24/7 maintenance role, and will therefore must commit to both days and night shifts 7-7. 7 shifts a fortnight and basic salary works out 54K and any overtime would be time and half on top.

The Person:

• Will be time-served and will hold a relevant electrical /mechanical engineering qualification - ideally HNC/D qualified
• Will have over 3 years’ experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a high speed production environment preferably with a good Electrical aptitude
• Will have over 3 years’ PPM experience and worked in a highly automated plant
• Be proficient in mechanical & electrical systems including pneumatics, welding, hydraulics, stripping and rebuilding machines; electrical fault-finding, repairs and PLC knowledge
• Candidates should be flexible, team-workers who enjoy working in a fast moving, reactive maintenance environment.
