Job summary

TechMet Ltd. in Coleraine is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician with electrical and mechanical expertise.

The role involves reactive and preventative maintenance across high-speed processing and packaging equipment, including pneumatics, PLCs, and hydraulics. The successful candidate will be time-served with an appropriate qualification (ideally HNC/D) and 3+ years of experience in a similar high-speed, automated environment.

Qualifications

• Time-served with a relevant electrical/mechanical engineering qualification (ideally HNC/D).
• 3+ years' experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a high-speed production environment.
• 3+ years' PPM experience in a highly automated plant.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance of plant facilities and high speed processing, handling and packaging equipment (compressors, steam, refrigeration, effluent).
• Work in a floater days role, covering for 24/7 maintenance staff which may include day and night shifts.

MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - COLERAINE

Our client is an excellent employer in the Coleraine area, offering a state-of-the-art working environment. Opportunity for someone to come off shifts onto a day role for part of their yearly rota.

They are looking to build maintenance capacity and are therefore looking for Multi-Skilled/Electrical bias Maintenance Technicians to join their existing team in a floater days role.

The Role:

• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance of a wide range of plant facilities and high speed processing, handling and packaging equipment, including compressed air, steam, refrigeration systems and effluent plant.
• You will spend part of the year in a Monday-Friday capacity and then in your "floater capacity" will be spent covering for the 24/7 maintenance staff, and will therefore it can include both days and night.

The Person:

• Will be time-served and will hold a relevant electrical /mechanical engineering qualification - ideally HNC/D qualified
• Will have over 3 years' experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a high speed production environment
• Will have over 3 years' PPM experience and worked in a highly automated plant
• Be proficient in mechanical & electrical systems including pneumatics, welding, hydraulics, stripping and rebuilding machines; electrical fault-finding, repairs and PLC knowledge
• Candidates should be flexible, team-workers who enjoy working in a fast moving, reactive maintenance environment.
