Job summary

Wallace Myers International is recruiting a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join a growing service provider to the health and hospitality sectors across the UK and Ireland.

This hands-on role sits in a small, close-knit engineering team where you’ll enjoy variety, problem-solving, and a fast-paced environment; you’ll help keep the production facility running smoothly with routine and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and calibration of plant and utilities.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified, multi-skilled maintenance engineer with mechanical bias and some electrical knowledge.
• Proven track record in a fast-paced production environment.
• Conversant with PLCs.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Comfortable working shifts, including some weekend cover.
• Background FMCG environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-skilled engineering and maintenance cover across the full production facility.
• Carry out routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance in line with the site plan.
• Diagnose faults quickly and complete repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Investigate breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain, calibrate, and repair plant, equipment, and utilities across the site.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, motors, and control circuits.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activity, faults, and spares for compliance and audit purposes.
• Manage spares stock and flag any shortfalls to management.
