Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician in Aylesford to support maintenance, installation, commissioning and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure equipment remains safe, reliable and operating efficiently while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

This permanent role offers a £45,000 salary, a varied workload across maintenance projects, opportunities to develop practical engineering skills,

Qualifications

• Experience in a hands-on engineering or maintenance role.
• Strong fault-finding ability (mechanical and/or electrical).
• Background in manufacturing or production environments.
• Proactive approach to safety and improvement.
• Able to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
• Fault find and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist with installation, relocation and commissioning of machinery.
• Support automation upgrades and process improvements.
• Carry out fabrication, fitting and equipment adjustments.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance teams.
• Support contractors during service and installation work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and site performance.

About the role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support maintenance, installation, commissioning and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is safe, reliable and operating efficiently while supporting wider engineering projects.
