Beyond Housing Limited in Dormanstown, Redcar, is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to guide a maintenance team in delivering safe, efficient and customer-focused repairs and voids services.
You will work with the area manager and colleagues across housing and support services to foster a 'one team' culture, drive performance, and ensure work meets time, cost and quality standards. You will also oversee contractors and use data to improve customer outcomes and service delivery.
We are looking for a maintenance team leader to join our team and lead the delivery of safe, efficient and customer-focused maintenance services.
This role is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance team to deliver high-quality repairs and voids services that are safe, efficient, and customer focused. Working closely with the area manager and colleagues across housing and support services, you will help foster a strong 'one team' culture that supports the provision of safe, secure homes and neighbourhoods that customers are proud to live in. The role involves driving team performance, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring services consistently meet agreed time, cost, and quality standards. You will also oversee contractors and third-party suppliers, holding them accountable for service delivery and performance to ensure customers receive the highest standards of repair and maintenance services.
You will be an experienced and inspirational leader with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams within an operational environment. Passionate about delivering excellent customer outcomes, you will be skilled at motivating others, fostering a positive team culture, and driving continuous improvement.
A strong communicator, you will be confident building effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, working collaboratively to enhance service delivery and strengthen the organisation's reputation. You will have experience of working across different functions and teams, bringing people together to achieve shared goals and deliver the best possible outcomes for customers.
You will be comfortable using data and performance information to identify trends, make informed decisions, and drive improvements in both customer experience and operational performance. Strong IT skills are essential, and you will be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to interpret, analyse, and present data through reports and management information.
It would be a bonus if you held a relevant leadership and management qualification, health and safety qualifications appropriate to the role, or equivalent experience and a full UK driving licence.
