Job summary

L-ev8 Recruitment Ltd in Plymouth is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to oversee a team of maintenance engineers and ensure safe, reliable operation of manufacturing and injection moulding equipment. You will lead planned maintenance, breakdown support and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability and site performance.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience leading or supervising maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on fault-finding and root cause analysis experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Experience within a Continuous Improvement or TPM environment.
• Understanding of EHS, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a maintenance team of engineers ensuring safe, reliable operation of manufacturing, injection moulding and facility equipment.
• Own planned maintenance, breakdown support and continuous improvement across the site.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering to optimise equipment reliability and site performance.
• Provide hands-on technical support while demonstrating effective people leadership.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading global manufacturing organisation as a Maintenance Team Leader, leading a team of Maintenance Engineers and supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of manufacturing, injection moulding and facility equipment.

Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams, you will take responsibility for planned maintenance, breakdown support, team development and equipment reliability, while driving continuous improvement across the site.

The role combines hands-on technical support with people leadership, making it ideal for an experienced Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Team Leader looking to take the next step in their career.
