Job summary

L-ev8 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader in Plymouth, Devon, to lead a team of maintenance engineers and support the safe, reliable operation of injection moulding and facility equipment.

You will manage planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, develop the team and drive continuous improvement across the site, blending hands-on engineering with people leadership to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or supervising maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on fault-finding and root cause analysis experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Experience within a Continuous Improvement or TPM environment.
• Good understanding of EHS, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned maintenance and breakdown support across production and facilities.
• Develop and mentor maintenance engineers and technicians.
• Drive equipment reliability and reduction of unplanned downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading global manufacturing organisation as a Maintenance Team Leader, leading a team of Maintenance Engineers and supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of manufacturing, injection moulding and facility equipment.

Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams, you will take responsibility for planned maintenance, breakdown support, team development and equipment reliability, while driving continuous improvement across the site.

The role combines hands-on technical support with people leadership, making it ideal for an experienced Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Team Leader looking to take the next step in their career.
