Job summary

CPL Group in Belfast is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to guide a small team of engineers, develop preventive maintenance programs and drive plant performance and reliability across the site.

The role focuses on implementing improvement initiatives, managing spares, and ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role.
• Engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and provide direction across maintenance functions.
• Experience implementing preventative maintenance systems, TPM programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a small team of maintenance engineers through performance management and succession planning.
• Create and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on plant performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Develop and manage a structured preventative maintenance programme across all site equipment and machinery.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory and maintenance stock control systems.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, facilities repairs, and equipment reliability projects.
• Maintain and develop a comprehensive asset management system for all plant and machinery.
• Ensure maintenance processes support quality, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Ensure all equipment and maintenance practices comply with current health, safety, and legislative requirements.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a leading manufacturing business. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing best-practice maintenance strategies to maximise machine output, improve efficiency, and minimise production downtime. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
