Are you an experienced Maintenance Surveyor, seeking your next permanent job?
My client has an immediate opportunity for a surveyor to join their front-line team, predominantly based around the Swindon area.
The successful applicant will have experience completing pre and post inspections of occupied and void domestic properties, identifying maintenance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Operational responsibility for the delivery of all responsive, void, planned, capital investment and service chargeable maintenance activities within a designated area.
- Create and maintain relationships with key supply chain partners in delivering programmes of planned investment, major repair projects and responsive maintenance to create a seamless service
- Perform contractual/commercial duties and responsibilities of Contract administrator on assigned projects/contracts.
- Ensure that all projects/works are undertaken in safe and CDM compliant manner.
- Liaise with design consultants, managing agents, local authorities, and/or other construction related professionals as required, lead on NHBC, insurance and third-party claims.
- Investigate and resolve construction/building related defects to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.
- Produce specifications/schedules of works and carry out localised procurement for suitable projects
- Deal and respond to occurrences of service failure including compensation/liability claims, complaints and general legal matters within target response timescales.
Requirements:- Proven experience of operating long-term partnering contracts.
- Proven experience of delivering large scale programmes of Capital Investment component works on time and to budget across a wide geographical area.
- Proven experience of delivering a responsive/void/ service-charge maintenance service.
- Full understanding of CDM compliance.
- Good understanding of Decent Homes requirements.
- Knowledge of building components, diagnosis of building defects, building/contract law, building regulations.
- Educated to minimum HNC level or equivalent professional experience / qualification in construction, housing, management or property.
- A full UK driving license / car with the ability to drive as and when required by the business.
