Job summary

WG060 Witherslack Group Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a maintenance team at our SEND-focused school in Tonbridge. The role involves repairing, maintaining, and improving facilities while adhering to safety standards and safeguarding requirements.

You will work with the Regional Property Manager and support the Head Teacher to create a safe, well‑maintained learning environment for up to 72 pupils aged 8–16 with diverse needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a site or facilities team.
  • Maintenance skills, either professional or DIY.
  • Able to supervise maintenance workers and contractors.
  • Good teamwork and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a skilled team to carry out maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed and carry out safety inspections.
  • Liaise with the Regional Property Manager and support the Head Teacher.
  • Keep school grounds neat and secure, contributing to a safe learning environment.

You’ll be doing your bit to make sure the school building is a great place to be for our young people. Get out what you put in You’ll supervise a skilled team to carry out maintenance and general repairs, together, you’ll fix problems and keep school grounds neat and tidy. You’ll make sure the school meets Health & Safety regulations, undertake safety inspections and keep up to date with any issues. As Supervisor, you’ll liaise with the Regional Property Manager and support the Head Teacher at the school. One of the best environments in SEND Hilden Park school is a purpose built, brand new, state of the art school, catering primarily for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s and Speech, Language and Communication needs. The school provides education for up to 72 children aged 8 to 16. This new exciting opportunity serving Tonbridge and the wider communities; you can be at the heart of its development.
