Job Description

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm. On-call rota, being on call 1 in every 3 weeks.

The job role: Working at our secondary processing site in Cliffe Vale, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a wide range of processing plant equipment.

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Completing all engineering work to facilitate production of the budgeted and forecasted tonnes.
  2. Effective maintenance planning and implementation.
  3. Managing and supporting two Cross-Skilled Engineers in their activities.
  4. Monitoring equipment energy efficiencies and contributing to the design of continuous improvement initiatives that reduce energy consumption.
  5. Using the SAP Engineering Resource Planning applications to record, predict, and manage preventative, predictive, and reactive asset maintenance.
  6. Completing Health and Safety documentation in line with company policy and procedures, such as risk assessments, equipment-specific procedures, permits, etc.
  7. Producing and distributing engineering reports.

You will:

  • Come from an engineering background with previous experience working with/on processing plant equipment, including filtration systems, milling machines, conveyors, mixing, blowing, pumping machines, and motors.
  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering.
  • Be mechanically biased with some electrical experience.
  • Have previous leadership experience.
  • Possess a high degree of health and safety awareness and competence.
  • Legally able to drive in the UK.
  • Be willing to get involved and proactive.
