Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor for a large FM site in Liverpool. You will oversee engineers, coordinate both planned and reactive maintenance, and manage specialist contractors to ensure legal and safety standards are met.

You will work with the client and stakeholders to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, review RAMS, issue Permits to Work, and drive continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent is required.
• Experience supervising engineers in FM/building services.
• Strong RAMS, permits to work and compliance knowledge.
• Experience using CAFM systems and producing reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate building maintenance engineers and subcontractors.
• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance to required standards.
• Review, approve and manage RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).
• Issue and control Permits to Work per site safety procedures.
• Monitor CAFM systems and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and company policies.
• Produce reports, track KPIs/SLAs, and support contract performance reviews.
• Liaise with clients, tenants and internal teams to maintain service levels.
• Identify plant or system defects and coordinate remedial works.
• Assist with quotations, scopes of work and technical recommendations.
• Support the Contract Manager with day-to-day contract delivery.

Maintenance Supervisor – FM Service Provider – Liverpool - Up to £46,500 per annum This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FM Supervisor to join a large Facilities Management provider in Liverpool. This role will be overseeing Engineers on a large static site in Liverpool. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of electrical, mechanical and general building services across the site. The role involves supervising a team of engineers, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, managing specialist contractors, and ensuring statutory compliance and health and safety standards are consistently maintained. You will also work closely with the client and key stakeholders to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the building.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 09:00am – 17:00pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate building maintenance engineers and specialist subcontractors
• Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are delivered to required standards
• Review, approve, and manage RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
• Issue and control Permits to Work in line with site safety procedures
• Monitor and update CAFM systems, ensuring accurate maintenance records
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies
• Produce reports, track KPIs/SLAs, and support contract performance reviews
• Liaise with clients, tenants, and internal teams to maintain high service levels
• Identify plant or system defects and coordinate remedial works
• Assist with quotations, scopes of work, and technical recommendations
• Support the Contract Manager with day-to-day contract delivery and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent) or Mechanical
• Previous supervisory or lead experience within FM/building services
• Strong understanding of RAMS, permits to work, and compliance processes
• Experience using CAFM systems and producing reports
• Good knowledge of commercial building services (HVAC, electrical, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills
