Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is recruiting an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee hard FM services across multiple sites on a large public sector contract in Merseyside. The role combines operational management with site leadership, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered to contract standards.

You will manage maintenance teams, monitor CAFM systems, support budgeting and commercial activity, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain service quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in Facilities Management with hard services.
• Experience leading engineering or maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Experience using CAFM systems.
• Health & Safety knowledge.
• Customer and stakeholder management skills.
• Budgeting and financial tracking experience.
• Experience delivering small works or projects.
• IOSH or similar qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hard FM services across multiple sites.

Our client, a leading Facilities Management provider, is looking to appoint an experienced Facilities Manager to support a large public sector contract across the Merseyside area.

This is an operational management role overseeing the delivery of hard facilities services across multiple sites. You will be responsible for supporting site teams, maintaining service standards and ensuring planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed effectively and in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of hard FM services across multiple sites
• Lead, support and motivate site-based maintenance teams
• Ensure PPM, reactive and corrective works are completed within agreed timescales
• Monitor compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and quality procedures
• Carry out regular site inspections and compliance audits
• Support planned works, projects and contract variations
• Liaise with clients, site teams and other stakeholders
• Monitor CAFM systems and ensure maintenance records are accurate
• Support budgeting, financial tracking and commercial activity
• Attend operational and client meetings where required

Requirements

• Previous experience within Facilities Management, ideally managing hard services
• Experience managing engineering or maintenance teams
• Strong understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance
• Experience using CAFM systems
• Good Health & Safety and compliance knowledge
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness with experience of budgets and financial tracking
• Experience delivering small works or projects
